Bad Science, Unscrupulous Lawyers: It’s Time For Legal Reform

There are several high-profile lawsuits out now that are making a mockery of our justice system. Whether it’s baby powder or meatless alternatives on trial, injury lawyers are using unscrupulous methods to conjure huge settlements from juries. That raises prices for consumers, hurts victims by clogging up our justice system, and completely distorts science.

Deputy Director Yaël Ossowski explores these cases and more, focusing on the recent arrests and indictments of trial attorneys such as Michael Avenatti and others who’ve been accused of trying to extort hundreds of millions of dollars from our legal system. That’s why we need legal reform now.

Broadcast on the Joe Catenacci Show on December 20, 2019, on The Big Talker 106.7 FM.
