Polls show Florida as key battleground state in 2012

That’s according to the latest Fox News poll conducted April 15-17, sampling 757 Florida registered voters in a telephone survey. In the expected matchup between Democratic President Barack Obama and likely Republican nomineeMitt Romney, Obama leads by less than two points, well within the poll’s 4 percent margin of error. This spurs great concern for the Obama camp, which defeated Republican presidential hopeful Arizona U.S. Sen. John McCain by more than 200,000 votes in 2008 and hopes to count on the Sunshine State in the fall.
