There was a grand debate at Channel 6 Studios in Trenton, N.J., on Friday to determine who would be the best candidate for U.S. Senate.
There was this guy, Cory Booker, the Democratic candidate and establishment favorite:
And his opponent, the Republican conservative activist who gave Gov. Chris Christie a run for his money in the 2009 gubernatorial primary:
One of the first topics was the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, ready to be implemented in 2014.
Steve Lonegan pleaded for a more time to implement the controversial law.
And Cory Booker went on the offensive:
Lonegan responded by hitting Booker in the mouth:
So Booker made the emotional case for upholding same-sex marriage:
And Lonegan slammed Booker’s 1.4 million Twitter following:
Then they talked a little bit about economics:
And Lonegan got in a quick jab:
Followed by the mandatory argument about abortion:
And what about education and student loan debt?
Whoa.
Booker’s response?
It was a lively affair.
The next debate will take place Wednesday at 7 p.m. the same place, Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
