TAMPA — Just three weeks before the filing deadline, Florida‘s U.S. Senate candidates are pulling out all the stops to catch Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson.

The two-term senator has amassed close to $1.6 million in the first three months of 2012, bulking up the $8.4 million he raised last year, according to his re-election campaign.
